May we be protected together, may we be nourished together, may we work together with great energy. May our study be illumined and bear fruit; may we never turn against one another. Om, peace, peace, peace.

हम दोनों (गुरु और शिष्य) की साथ-साथ रक्षा हो; हम दोनों का साथ-साथ पालन हो; हम साथ मिलकर सामर्थ्य से कार्य करें। हमारा अध्ययन तेजस्वी और फलदायी हो; हम कभी एक-दूसरे से द्वेष न करें। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय। तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय। मृत्योर्माऽमृतं गमय। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Asato Ma Sadgamaya Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya Mrityorma'mritam Gamaya Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

Lead me from the unreal to the Real, from darkness into Light, from death into Immortality. This is not a petition for comfort but a cry from the soul toward its own source, recognizing that the ground of existence is deathless, luminous, and true.

मुझे असत् से सत् की ओर ले चलो, अन्धकार से प्रकाश की ओर, मृत्यु से अमृत की ओर। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।

ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात्पूर्णमुदच्यते। पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Purnamadah Purnamidam Purnatpurnamudachyate Purnasya Purnamadaya Purnamevavashishyate Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

That Infinite is whole; this Infinite is whole. From wholeness, wholeness arises; even when wholeness is taken from wholeness, wholeness remains. Brahman, the Absolute, is inexhaustible: the universe does not diminish its source, nor can creation be separated from the fullness that sustains it.

वह पूर्ण है; यह भी पूर्ण है। पूर्ण से पूर्ण ही उत्पन्न होता है; पूर्ण में से पूर्ण निकाल लेने पर भी पूर्ण ही शेष रहता है। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।

ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः। सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः। सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु। मा कश्चिद्दुःखभाग्भवेत्। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah Sarve Santu Niramayah Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu Ma Kashchidduhkhabhagbhavet Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

May all beings dwell in happiness, may all beings be free from disease. May all beings behold what is auspicious; may no one be touched by sorrow. This mantra dissolves the boundary between self and other, proclaiming the welfare of all existence as inseparable from one's own liberation.

सब सुखी हों; सब निरोग हों; सब शुभ देखें; कोई भी दुख का भागी न हो। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः।

ॐ द्यौः शान्तिरन्तरिक्षं शान्तिः पृथिवी शान्तिरापः शान्तिरोषधयः शान्तिः। वनस्पतयः शान्तिर्विश्वेदेवाः शान्तिर्ब्रह्म शान्तिः सर्वं शान्तिः शान्तिरेव शान्तिः सा मा शान्तिरेधि। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Dyauh Shantir Antariksham Shantih Prithivi Shantirapah Shantiroshadhayah Shantih Vanaspatayah Shantirvishvedevah Shantirbrahma Shantih Sarvam Shantih Shantireva Shantih Sa Ma Shantiredhi Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

May there be peace in the heavens, peace in the sky, peace on earth. May there be peace in the waters, in the herbs, in the forests. May there be peace in the gods, in Brahman, in all things. May that peace, real peace, abide in me.

द्युलोक में शान्ति हो, अन्तरिक्ष में शान्ति, पृथ्वी पर शान्ति, जल में शान्ति, औषधियों में शान्ति, वनस्पतियों में शान्ति, विश्वदेवों में शान्ति, ब्रह्म में शान्ति, सब में शान्ति, शान्ति ही शान्ति: वह शान्ति मुझे प्राप्त हो।

ॐ शं नो मित्रः शं वरुणः। शं नो भवत्वर्यमा। शं न इन्द्रो बृहस्पतिः। शं नो विष्णुरुरुक्रमः। नमो ब्रह्मणे। नमस्ते वायो। त्वमेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्मासि। त्वामेव प्रत्यक्षं ब्रह्म वदिष्यामि। ऋतं वदिष्यामि। सत्यं वदिष्यामि। तन्मामवतु। तद्वक्तारमवतु। अवतु माम्। अवतु वक्तारम्। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

May Mitra, Varuna, and Aryaman be blissful to us; may Indra and Brihaspati be blissful. May Vishnu of great strides be blissful to us. Salutations to Brahman; salutations to you, O Vayu: you alone are the visible Brahman. I shall speak the right; I shall speak the truth. May that protect me, may that protect the teacher.

मित्र हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी हों, वरुण कल्याणकारी हों, अर्यमा कल्याणकारी हों; इन्द्र और बृहस्पति हमारे लिए कल्याणकारी हों; विशाल डग वाले विष्णु कल्याणकारी हों। ब्रह्म को नमस्कार; हे वायु, आपको नमस्कार: आप ही प्रत्यक्ष ब्रह्म हैं। मैं ऋत कहूंगा, सत्य कहूंगा; वह मेरी रक्षा करे, वक्ता की रक्षा करे।

ॐ भद्रं कर्णेभिः शृणुयाम देवाः। भद्रं पश्येमाक्षभिर्यजत्राः। स्थिरैरङ्गैस्तुष्टुवाँसस्तनूभिः। व्यशेम देवहितं यदायुः। स्वस्ति न इन्द्रो वृद्धश्रवाः। स्वस्ति नः पूषा विश्ववेदाः। स्वस्ति नस्तार्क्ष्यो अरिष्टनेमिः। स्वस्ति नो बृहस्पतिर्दधातु। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Bhadram Karnebhih Shrinuyama Devah Bhadram Pashyemakshabhiryajatrah Sthirairangaistushtuvamsastanubhih Vyashema Devahitam Yadayuh Svasti Na Indro Vriddhashravah Svasti Nah Pusha Vishvavedah Svasti Nastarkshyo Arishtanemih Svasti No Brihaspatirdadhatu Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

O gods, may we hear only what is auspicious with our ears; may we see only what is auspicious with our eyes. With steady limbs and bodies, may we live out the full span of life ordained by the gods, offering praise. May Indra of great renown bestow well-being on us; may Pusha, the all-knowing, grant us well-being. May Tarkshya, the indestructible, and Brihaspati grant us well-being.

हे देवगण, हम कानों से कल्याणमय ही सुनें; आंखों से कल्याणमय ही देखें। स्थिर अंगों और स्वस्थ शरीर से स्तुति करते हुए देवताओं द्वारा दी गई पूर्ण आयु भोगें। महान कीर्ति वाले इन्द्र हमारा कल्याण करें; सर्वज्ञ पूषा हमारा कल्याण करें; अरिष्टनेमि तार्क्ष्य और बृहस्पति हमारा कल्याण करें।

ॐ वाङ् मे मनसि प्रतिष्ठिता। मनो मे वाचि प्रतिष्ठितम्। आविराविर्म एधि। वेदस्य म आणीस्थः। श्रुतं मे मा प्रहासीः। अनेनाधीतेनाहोरात्रान्संदधामि। ऋतं वदिष्यामि। सत्यं वदिष्यामि। तन्मामवतु। तद्वक्तारमवतु। अवतु माम्। अवतु वक्तारम्। ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

Om Van Me Manasi Pratishthita Mano Me Vachi Pratishthitam Aviravirma Edhi Vedasya Ma Anisthah Shrutam Me Ma Prahasih Anenadhitenahoratransamdadhami Ritam Vadishyami, Satyam Vadishyami Tanmamavatu, Tadvaktaramavatu Avatu Mam, Avatu Vaktaram Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

May my speech be established in my mind, and my mind be established in my speech. O Self-luminous Brahman, reveal yourself to me. May both my mind and speech be capable of bearing the Veda; may what I have heard never forsake me. I shall speak the right; I shall speak the truth: may that protect me and protect my teacher.

मेरी वाणी मन में प्रतिष्ठित हो, और मन वाणी में प्रतिष्ठित हो। हे स्वयंप्रकाश ब्रह्म, मेरे सम्मुख प्रकट होइए। मन और वाणी दोनों वेद को धारण करने में समर्थ हों; जो मैंने सुना है वह मुझसे कभी न छूटे। मैं ऋत कहूंगा, सत्य कहूंगा; वह मेरी और वक्ता की रक्षा करे।
