अखण्डमण्डलाकारं व्याप्तं येन चराचरम्। तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Akhanda Mandalakaram Vyaptam Yena Characharam Tat Padam Darshitam Yena Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

The One who pervades all that moves and does not move, whose form is the unbroken wholeness of existence: salutations to the glorious Guru, who revealed to me that supreme state.

जो अखण्ड मण्डल के आकार वाले हैं और चराचर में व्याप्त हैं, जिस पद का दर्शन जिन्होंने कराया: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

अज्ञानतिमिरान्धस्य ज्ञानाञ्जनशलाकया। चक्षुरुन्मीलितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Ajnana Timirandhasya Jnananjana Shalakaya Chakshur Unmilitam Yena Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

I was blind in the darkness of ignorance, and he opened my eyes with the fine collyrium-stick of knowledge: salutations to that glorious Guru.

मैं अज्ञान के अन्धकार में अंधा था; जिन्होंने ज्ञान की अंजन-शलाका से मेरी आंखें खोल दीं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः। गुरुरेव परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnuh Gurur Devo Maheshvarah Gurur Eva Param Brahma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

The Guru is Brahma the creator, the Guru is Vishnu the sustainer, the Guru is the Lord Maheshvara who dissolves all things; the Guru is truly the supreme Brahman itself: salutations to that glorious Guru.

गुरु ही ब्रह्मा हैं, गुरु ही विष्णु, गुरु ही देव महेश्वर; गुरु ही साक्षात् परब्रह्म हैं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

स्थावरं जङ्गमं व्याप्तं यत्किञ्चित्सचराचरम्। तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Sthavaram Jangamam Vyaptam Yat Kinchit Sa Characharam Tat Padam Darshitam Yena Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

Whatever exists, still or moving, down to the smallest thing, is pervaded by that One: salutations to the glorious Guru, who showed me that reality.

स्थावर और जंगम, जो कुछ भी चराचर है, वह सब जिससे व्याप्त है, उस पद का दर्शन जिन्होंने कराया: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

चिन्मयं व्यापि यत्सर्वं त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम्। तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Chinmayam Vyapi Yat Sarvam Trailokyam Sa Characharam Tat Padam Darshitam Yena Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

Pure consciousness pervades the three worlds and everything within them that moves or stands still: salutations to the glorious Guru, who revealed that presence to me.

चिन्मय चैतन्य जो तीनों लोकों में, चराचर सहित, व्याप्त है, उस पद का दर्शन जिन्होंने कराया: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

सर्वश्रुतिशिरोरत्नविराजितपदाम्बुजः। वेदान्ताम्बुजसूर्यो यः तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Sarva Shruti Shiro Ratna Virajita Padambujah Vedantambuja Suryo Yah Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

His lotus feet shine with the crest-jewels of all the Vedas; he is the sun that opens the lotus of Vedanta: salutations to that glorious Guru.

जिनके चरण-कमल समस्त श्रुतियों के शिरोरत्नों से विराजित हैं, जो वेदान्त रूपी कमलों के सूर्य हैं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

चैतन्यः शाश्वतः शान्तो व्योमातीतो निरञ्जनः। बिन्दुनादकलातीतः तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Chaitanyah Shashvatah Shanto Vyomatito Niranjanah Bindu Nada Kalatitah Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

He is consciousness itself: eternal, peaceful, beyond even the sky, without stain, beyond the subtlest forms of sound and light: salutations to that glorious Guru.

जो चैतन्य हैं, शाश्वत, शान्त, आकाश से परे, निरंजन, बिन्दु, नाद और कला से अतीत: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

ज्ञानशक्तिसमारूढः तत्त्वमालाविभूषितः। भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदाता च तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Jnana Shakti Samarudhah Tattva Mala Vibhushitah Bhukti Mukti Pradata Cha Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

Established in the power of knowledge, adorned with the garland of truth, he grants both fulfillment in this world and final liberation: salutations to that glorious Guru.

ज्ञान की शक्ति पर आरूढ़, तत्वों की माला से विभूषित, भुक्ति और मुक्ति दोनों के दाता: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

अनेकजन्मसम्प्राप्तकर्मबन्धविदाहिने। आत्मज्ञानप्रदानेन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Aneka Janma Samprapta Karma Bandha Vidahine Atma Jnana Pradanena Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

He burns away the bonds of karma gathered through countless births by granting the knowledge of the Self: salutations to that glorious Guru.

अनेक जन्मों में अर्जित कर्मों के बन्धन को जो आत्मज्ञान देकर भस्म कर देते हैं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

शोषणं भवसिन्धोश्च ज्ञापणं सारसम्पदः। गुरोः पादोदकं सम्यक् तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Shoshanam Bhava Sindhosh Cha Jnapanam Sara Sampadah Guroh Padodakam Samyak Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

The water that has touched the Guru's feet dries up the vast ocean of samsara and reveals the soul's essential wealth: salutations to that glorious Guru.

गुरु का चरणोदक भवसागर को सुखा देता है और आत्मा की सार सम्पदा का बोध कराता है: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

न गुरोरधिकं तत्त्वं न गुरोरधिकं तपः। तत्त्वज्ञानात्परं नास्ति तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Na Guror Adhikam Tattvam Na Guror Adhikam Tapah Tattva Jnanat Param Nasti Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

There is no truth higher than the Guru, no austerity higher than the Guru, and nothing beyond the knowledge of truth that he bestows: salutations to that glorious Guru.

गुरु से बड़ा कोई तत्व नहीं, गुरु से बड़ा कोई तप नहीं, और उनके दिए तत्वज्ञान से परे कुछ भी नहीं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

मन्नाथः श्रीजगन्नाथः मद्गुरुः श्रीजगद्गुरुः। मदात्मा सर्वभूतात्मा तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Mannathah Shri Jagannathah Madguruh Shri Jagadguruh Madatma Sarva Bhutatma Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

My Lord is the Lord of the universe; my Guru is the Guru of the universe; my Self is the Self of all beings: salutations to that glorious Guru.

मेरे नाथ जगन्नाथ हैं, मेरे गुरु जगद्गुरु हैं, मेरी आत्मा समस्त प्राणियों की आत्मा है: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।

गुरुरादिरनादिश्च गुरुः परमदैवतम्। गुरोः परतरं नास्ति तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥

Gurur Adir Anadish Cha Guruh Parama Daivatam Guroh Parataram Nasti Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

The Guru is the beginning of all, yet himself without beginning; the Guru is the highest divinity; there is nothing beyond the Guru: salutations to that glorious Guru.

गुरु ही आदि हैं और स्वयं अनादि, गुरु ही परम दैवत हैं; गुरु से परे कुछ भी नहीं: उन श्रीगुरु को नमस्कार।
