हिरण्यवर्णां हरिणीं सुवर्णरजतस्रजाम्। चन्द्रां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं जातवेदो म आवह॥

Hiranyavarnam Harineem Suvarna-Rajata-Srajam Chandram Hiranmayeem Lakshmeem Jatavedo Ma Avaha

O Jataveda, the all-knowing sacred fire, invoke Lakshmi for me: she who is golden in radiance, who moves with luminous grace, garlanded in gold and silver, resplendent as the moon, the very embodiment of divine effulgence.

तां म आवह जातवेदो लक्ष्मीमनपगामिनीम्। यस्यां हिरण्यं विन्देयं गामश्वं पुरुषानहम्॥

Tam Ma Avaha Jatavedo Lakshmeem Anapagamineem Yasyam Hiranyam Vindeyam Gam Ashvam Purushanaham

O Jataveda, bring her to me: that Lakshmi who never departs, who is the eternal and steadfast presence of grace. Through her blessing, may I come to know abundance in all its forms, vitality, prosperity, and the fullness of noble companionship.

अश्वपूर्वां रथमध्यां हस्तिनादप्रबोधिनीम्। श्रियं देवीमुपह्वये श्रीर्मा देवी जुषताम्॥

Ashvapurvam Rathamadhyam Hastinadaprabodhineem Shriyam Deveem Upahvaye Shreer Ma Devee Jushatam

She who is heralded by horses, surrounded by chariots, and awakened by the trumpeting of elephants: I invoke that divine Shri, that sovereign glory and grace. May the Goddess Shri take delight in me and dwell near.

कांसोस्मितां हिरण्यप्राकारामार्द्रां ज्वलन्तीं तृप्तां तर्पयन्तीम्। पद्मे स्थितां पद्मवर्णां तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम्॥

Kam Sosmitam Hiranya Prakaram Ardram Jvalantim Triptam Tarpayantim Padme Sthitam Padma Varnam Tam Ihopahvaye Shriyam

She who smiles with gentle radiance, whose presence is a golden sanctuary, who is moist with compassion and blazing with divine light, who is herself fulfilled and who fulfills all beings: I invoke that Shri, who abides upon the lotus, who is luminous as the lotus herself.

चन्द्रां प्रभासां यशसा ज्वलन्तीं श्रियं लोके देवजुष्टामुदाराम्। तां पद्मिनीमीं शरणमहं प्रपद्ये ऽलक्ष्मीर्मे नश्यतां त्वां वृणे॥

Chandram Prabhasm Yashasa Jvalanteem Shriyam Loke Devajushtam Udaram Tam Padmineem Eem Sharanam Aham Prapadye Alakshmeer Me Nashyatam Tvam Vrine

Luminous as the moon, radiant with glory, blazing with splendor, the divine Shri who is cherished by all the gods, the great-hearted one: I take refuge in her, the lotus-born. I choose you; may all that is contrary to grace and abundance dissolve before your presence.

आदित्यवर्णे तपसोऽधिजातो वनस्पतिस्तव वृक्षोऽथ बिल्वः। तस्य फलानि तपसा नुदन्तु मायान्तरायाश्च बाह्या अलक्ष्मीः॥

Aditya Varne Tapaso Adhijato Vanaspatis Tava Vrikshotta Bilvah Tasya Phalani Tapasa Nudantu Mayantarayashcha Bahya Alakshmih

O you who are of the brilliance of the sun, the bilva tree was born through spiritual austerity and is your sacred tree. May its fruits, charged with the power of tapas, drive away all that obstructs the soul, whether inward darkness or outward adversity.

उपैतु मां देवसखः कीर्तिश्च मणिना सह। प्रादुर्भूतोऽस्मि राष्ट्रेऽस्मिन् कीर्तिमृद्धिं ददातु मे॥

Upaitu Mam Deva Sakhah Keertishcha Manina Saha Pradurbhuto Asmi Rashtre Asmin Keertim Riddhim Dadatu Me

May the friend of the gods come to me, along with glory and the wish-fulfilling gem. I have been brought forth in this realm; may Lakshmi bestow upon me renown, spiritual richness, and the fullness of an abundant life.

क्षुत्पिपासामलां ज्येष्ठामलक्ष्मीं नाशयाम्यहम्। अभूतिमसमृद्धिं च सर्वां निर्णुद मे गृहात्॥

Kshut Pipasa Malam Jyeshtham Alakshmeem Nashayamyaham Abhootim Asamriddhim Cha Sarvam Nirnuda Me Grihat

I destroy Alakshmi, the elder shadow-force of hunger, thirst, and spiritual impurity. Drive away completely from my home all lack, all barrenness, all that is contrary to grace and divine flourishing.

गन्धद्वारां दुराधर्षां नित्यपुष्टां करीषिणीम्। ईश्वरीं सर्वभूतानां तामिहोपह्वये श्रियम्॥

Gandha Dvaram Duraadharshaam Nitya Pushtam Karishineem Eeshvareem Sarva Bhootanam Taamiha Upaahvaye Shriyam

She who is the fragrant gateway to the divine, who is invincible and ever-nourished, who is the sustaining energy of the earth itself: I invoke that Shri, the sovereign queen of all living beings, the indwelling presence who governs all that exists.

मनसः काममाकूतिं वाचः सत्यमशीमहि। पशूनां रूपमन्नस्य मयि श्रीः श्रयतां यशः॥

Manasah Kamam Akutim Vachah Satyam Asheemahi Pashunam Rupam Annasya Mayi Shrih Shrayatam Yashah

May we attain the heart's true desire, and the pure intention behind all aspiration; may we attain truth in speech. May the beauty of all creatures, the nourishment of food, and the luminous grace of Shri and all renown take up residence in me.

कर्दमेन प्रजाभूता मयि सम्भव कर्दम। श्रियं वासय मे कुले मातरं पद्ममालिनीम्॥

Kardamena Praja Bhuta Mayi Sambhava Kardama Shriyam Vasaya Me Kule Mataram Padma Malinim

O Kardama, son of Lakshmi, you through whom creation comes into being: manifest in me. Establish Shri, garlanded with lotuses, the primordial Mother, as a living presence within my family and lineage.

आपः सृजन्तु स्निग्धानि चिक्लीत वस मे गृहे। नि च देवीं मातरं श्रियं वासय मे कुले॥

Apah Srijantu Snigdhani Chiklita Vasa Me Grihe Ni Cha Deveem Mataram Shriyam Vasaya Me Kule

May the sacred waters bring forth tenderness and abundance; O Chiklita, dwell in my home. And you, O divine Mother Shri, establish yourself as an abiding presence within my family and all my generations.

आर्द्रां पुष्करिणीं पुष्टिं पिङ्गलां पद्ममालिनीम्। चन्द्रां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं जातवेदो म आवह॥

Ardram Pushkarineem Pushtim Pingalam Padma Malinim Chandram Hiranmayeem Lakshmeem Jatavedo Ma Avaha

O Jataveda, invoke for me Lakshmi: she who is moist with compassion, who dwells in the sacred lotus lake, who is the very body of nourishment, golden-hued and garlanded with lotuses, radiant as the moon, the divine embodiment of all that is golden and luminous.

आर्द्रां यः करिणीं यष्टिं सुवर्णां हेममालिनीम्। सूर्यां हिरण्मयीं लक्ष्मीं जातवेदो म आवह॥

Ardram Yah Karinim Yashtim Suvarnaam Hema Malinim Suryam Hiranmayeem Lakshmeem Jatavedo Ma Avaha

O Jataveda, invoke Lakshmi for me: she who is tender and compassionate, who bears the staff of sovereignty, who is pure gold, garlanded with golden blossoms, resplendent as the sun, the luminous Goddess who radiates the light of the divine.

तां म आवह जातवेदो लक्ष्मीमनपगामिनीम्। यस्यां हिरण्यं प्रभूतं गावो दास्योऽश्वान् विन्देयं पुरुषानहम्॥

Tam Ma Avaha Jatavedo Lakshmeem Anapagamineem Yasyam Hiranyam Prabhutam Gavo Dasyo Ashvan Vindeyam Purushanaham

O Jataveda, bring her to me: that Lakshmi who never departs, who is the eternal, unwavering grace of the divine. Through her boundless presence, may I receive abundant gold, cattle, devoted service, noble horses, and the company of awakened souls.
